Holdings
Project interests and proprietary assets
Novara owns interests in separately organized development entities and owns proprietary brand, design, and development assets. This page describes those holdings in general terms. It does not identify specific entities, projects, or assets.
Project Interests
Ownership of project entities
Each development project is undertaken by a separate project entity. That entity holds the applicable property interests, arranges its own financing, signs its own contracts, and carries its own insurance. Novara’s role is ownership. It holds an interest in the project entity and exercises the approval rights set out in the governing documents.
Project entities engage licensed general contractors and other project professionals directly. Novara does not build, supervise construction, or act as a contractor.
Intellectual Property
Proprietary brand and development assets
Novara owns brand, design, and development intellectual property. These are company assets. Where a written agreement provides for it, Novara may license them to an affiliated entity so that design and brand standards stay consistent across projects.
Novara does not practice architecture or engineering. Regulated professional services are provided by qualified firms engaged by the applicable project entity.
